Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) Society is a society registered in the Republic of Singapore with company UEN T01SS0028B and a registered address at 230 Victoria Street, #14-00 Bugis Junction Office Tower, Singapore 188024.

The types of membership data we collect

The types of membership data we collect

Personal Data. The data we collect includes but is not limited to:

  1. Personal information that can be used to identify an individual, such as name as per NRIC, last 3 digits and alphabet of NRIC, gender and date of birth;
  2. Contact information, such as mailing address, email address and contact numbers (mobile, home, work)
  3. Payment information, such as credit or debit card information, including the name of cardholder, card number, billing address and expiry date;
  4. Hobbies/ interests

Professional & Business Data. The data we collect includes but is not limited to:

  1. Business contact information, such as the contact details of current employer, current job title, current work contact number and email
  2. Professional information, such as prior engagements at EnterpriseSG (including TDB, IE Singapore, SPRING) and specialisations by markets, industry and skill sets.

Technical Data This includes device and technical information you give us when using our website, such as IP addresses or other unique identifiers, cookies, Information on cookies may be found in our cookie policy (read ‘Use of Cookies’) below. Please note that in limited circumstances, this Technical Data may be linked with your Personal Data in order to identify you.

Is the provision of data requested required?

The collection of the following types of data is mandatory to enable us to administer your membership with EnterpriseSG Society. These types of data are marked as mandatory on our membership online application form as well as inside the members login zone. If you do not provide this information, we will not be able to contact you on your membership with us, notifying and supporting you with the events and activities we organise.

The collection of the following types of Members Data is mandatory to enable us to administer your membership to participate in events and activities organised by EnterpriseSG Society and Enterprise Singapore: (i) title; (ii) name as per NRIC and name you are commonly called; (iii) gender; (iv) date of birth; (v) personal email address; (vi) mobile phone number; (vii) corresponding address; (viii) year joined and left EnterpriseSG/ IE Singapore/ SPRING/ TDB; (ix) your specializations; (x) your hobbies/ interests

The collection of the following types of Members Data is mandatory to enable us to administer your account as a Member to maintain our relationship with you ((i) title; (ii) name as per NRIC and names you are commonly called; (iii) gender; (iv) date of birth; (vi) personal email address; (vii) mobile phone number; (viii) corresponding address; (ix) current company; (x) current job title; (xi) year joined and left Enterprise Singapore (including her predecessors); (xi) your specializations; (xii) your hobbies

The failure to supply the following types of Members Data will result in us being unable to update you on our (i) news/ announcements; (ii) latest events and activities and/or; (iii) your inability to enter or participate in events/ activities organised by EnterpriseSG Society and/ or by Enterprise Singapore:

How we collect your data

We collect Members Data whenever you use our services, including when you sign-up as our member, when you log on to the membership zone to update your information or when you interact with us and/ or our fellow members via email or social media.

We also collect Members Data from your fellow ex-colleagues at EnterpriseSG (including TDB/ IE Singapore/ SPRING Singapore).

We may receive your data from other entities within our ecosystem, which includes our Members (Life and Corporate) and EnterpriseSG.

Where you disclose personal data of another person to us, you undertake to ensure that the individual whose data (e.g. name and contact details) is supplied to us has, where required under applicable data protection laws, authorised the disclosure, is informed of, and agrees to the provisions of this Privacy Policy.

How we use your data

We collect, use and disclose your data (as defined by the types of data we collect and how we use it) in order to better understand you and provide you with relevant offerings. In particular, we gather information for the following purposes in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 as a result of your membership, for the following purposes:-

Who do we share your information with

EnterpriseSG Society will not sell, rent, lease or share its Members' lists to third parties. We may share data collected with EnterpriseSG and trusted corporates/ partners to help us perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide membeship supports or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to/ for EnterpriseSG Society. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

However, EnterpriseSG Society may be obliged to disclose your personal information, if required to do so by law or in good faith, that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on EnterpriseSG Society or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of EnterpriseSG Society; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of EnterpriseSG Society, or the public.

We will share our Members Data with EnterpriseSG, in the situations set out below:

Use of Cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Traffic log cookies enable us to identify which pages are being used and help us to analyse data about webpage traffic to tailor services to your needs. The information is used for statistical analysis, and the data is removed from the system thereafter.

This Privacy Statement may be revised and updated from time to time at Enterprise Singapore Society's sole discretion. Any new updates will always be posted on this webpage and we will try, but are not obliged, to give notice of significant changes in the Privacy Statement. Please check for updates to this Privacy Policy each time you use our website. If you disagree with the changes, please discontinue use of our website. If you continue using this website after changes to this Privacy Statement have been made, such use will constitute acceptance of the updated Privacy Statement.
